Unit 4 - 4th quarter
Life Cycles
Students will learn about life cycles and that all living things follow a life cycle and have specific needs, characteristics and functions. Students will learn the fertilization process of seeds and eggs. Students will learn about the parts of a plant, as they plant seeds and observe and record their growth. Students will understand why living things, such as plants, are a benefit to people and our planet. Students will understand the stages of life cycle of a butterfly as they observe and record the process. Students will understand that all living things have a reproduction stage. Students will understand that asking questions about the world helps us learn. Students will learn tools and help scientists make better observations.
